As many of you already know, there is a horse with a confirmed case of the neurologic form of EHV-1 at a barn in Durham. The farm in under quarantine for 21 days, and thankfully the horse is responding well to treatment.
Let's use this as a reminder to have your horses vaccinated in both the fall and spring if you are traveling OR if you have horses traveling in and out of your barn to prevent the spread of not just this disease, but others as well.
